This is a photo of me from 1992 - the year I married back into my ancestral Lokono-Arawak tribe at the age of 19.

sounds objectionable to ethnic 'Indians' (people of Amerindian descent but not actually a part of an intact Tribal Nation)....all of my own almost 300 person wider family fits into this category...yes it is true that I still love them, because they are my blood family after all, but their loyalty is NOT with their Amerindian ancestry, sure a lot of them love to say how 'proud' they are to 'know' of it...but let us be brutally honest...what exactly are they doing FOR our Amerindian people? Something? Anything? I pledged my loyalty to our Lokono-Arawak tribe in Guyana when I married back into the tribe 22 years ago - and had my children born there on tribal lands, so I do not hold it against them just because no-one else of the almost 300 descendants of our last Chief did the same as me, they no longer see themselves as 'Lokono-Arawaks' - just as people with a partial ethnic ancestry that INCLUDES Lokono-Arawak (some see themselves as 'white' or 'black' people today).....I have always seen myself as a Lokono-Arawak with some other ethnic ancestries that I can do nothing about (the nuns at my primary school used to tell my mother: "Damon would be our best student if we held all of the classes outdoors under the trees") ....except to see that my own children have more Arawak and less of anything else in their DNA...and I have done this. Every now and then I encounter some relative in the 300 that has become jealous of the fact that the tribe recognises me and not them, they assume (in European terms) that age and birth order has something to do with assuming the mantle of our ancestral hereditary leadership system of the people....they say "They are closer generationally to the founder-matriarch - so therefore they have a 'claim' more valid than mine".....but this has NOTHING to do with any 'claim' has EVERYTHING to do with ACTIONS.....all who are jealous may list one by one (if they even have done at least one thing for the tribe) ALL the things they have done for the people.....then I shall do the same, if my list is longer than yours.....respectfully step aside - or sit your ass down and shut up. In the eyes of our Tribal Nation in Guyana today - you are just a visitor to the tribe (a descendant of someone their ancestors used to follow).....I belong to it, and I will die for it - can you honestly say the same?
The people know who Damon Corrie is, and what he has done for the tribe over the last 22 - they have never heard of.
I have some relatives that are very 'European-minded', they are so far from the Amerindian cosmovision of their own ancestors - that I can see that if we were living in a time of war and chaos, they would be more likely to be fighting on the side of Political Nation-State forces AGAINST me and other Tribal Nation their twisted minds people like me are 'subversive elements' and 'troublemakers' (just because I say that our people are in fact still living under an illegal occupation and have every right to recover our stolen sovereign independence....they have become real 'uncle Toms' that would do anything - to materialize their every wish - and ensure their own self-preservation and VIP invitations to the Rat Race.
Luckily there are others - who will never do what I have done, because it is too radical and life-changing out of their comfort zone, but they would still play the role of a covert support chain to me - so I can be the tip of the spear - in a worst case I cherish that flame that still lives on within their souls.
I also see among our Kalinago kin in Dominica, that people of Kalinago descent ('ethnic Kalinagos') apply for and secure all kinds of benefits that should really go to Kalinagos who live on the territory, every Kalinago Chief I have known has complained to me personally that: "most of them say they are Kalinagos but they live abroad and never do anything for their people on the territory, when they do visit the territory - most of them do not meet with the Council and offer to help...we do not even know they were here until they have already left and someone tells us...but they are quick to ask the Council to supply them supporting documents so they can apply for scholarships etc in the name of the people".
In Guyana lots of people who are ethnic Amerindians - but who's loyalty lies with other peoples above and beyond their own, they LOOK pure and have jobs with big titles that give the casual observer the false impression that they are 'representatives' of their people....when in truth they are merely mascots (married to non-Amerindians) of political parties founded and led by other races.
This is why our Shamans talk about 'where your heart lies', what blood runs in your veins does not count as much as where your loyalty is....if you have both - great, if you have only one - you are of no consequence to the greater good of the people collectively.
So even though this article applies even to me (before I married back into the tribe because I realised that I was existing as a mere descendant - cut off from the people - where I did not belong) and most will be offended, but it actually is explaining a common dilemma that faces the indigenous communities all over the world.
The sad truth IS - that the majority of 'Ethnic' indigenous (by descent) ARE more of a hindrance than a help - to indigenous peoples who share a decent AND active membership in still intact tribal nations, though a minority of descendants will always become great assets to the people when their heart is returned to the right place.

Evidence shows that the common factor in nearly every mass shooting is that all of the perpetrators were either actively taking powerful psychotropic drugs or had been taking them at one point before committing their crimes.
Multiple credible scientific studies going back more then a decade, as well as internal documents from certain pharmaceutical companies that suppressed the information show that SSRI drugs ( Selective Serotonin Re-Uptake Inhibitors ) have well known, but unreported side effects, including but not limited to suicide and other violent behavior. One need only Google relevant key words or phrases to see for themselves. is one popular site that has documented over 4500 “ Mainstream Media “ reported cases from around the World of aberrant or violent behavior by those taking these powerful drugs, according to the Liberty Crier.
The extensive list shows how psychotropic drugs are linked in every case of murder and suicide:
  • Eric Harris age 17 (first on Zoloft then Luvox) and Dylan Klebold aged 18 (Columbine school shooting in Littleton, Colorado), killed 12 students and 1 teacher, and wounded 23 others, before killing themselves. Klebold’s medical records have never been made available to the public.
  • Jeff Weise, age 16, had been prescribed 60 mg/day of Prozac (three times the average starting dose for adults!) when he shot his grandfather, his grandfather’s girlfriend and many fellow students at Red Lake, Minnesota. He then shot himself. 10 dead, 12 wounded.
  • Cory Baadsgaard, age 16, Wahluke (Washington state) High School, was on Paxil (which caused him to have hallucinations) when he took a rifle to his high school and held 23 classmates hostage. He has no memory of the event.

  • Kevin Rider, age 14, was withdrawing from Prozac when he died from a gunshot wound to his head. Initially it was ruled a suicide, but two years later, the investigation into his death was opened as a possible homicide. The prime suspect, also age 14, had been taking Zoloft and other SSRI antidepressants.
  • Alex Kim, age 13, hung himself shortly after his Lexapro prescription had been doubled.
  • Diane Routhier was prescribed Welbutrin for gallstone problems. Six days later, after suffering manyadverse effects of the drug, she shot herself.

  • What drugs was Jacob Tyler Roberts on, age 22, killed 2 injured 1, Clackamas Or
  • What drugs was Adam Peter Lanza on, age 20, Killed 26 and wounded 2 in Newtown Ct

There are estimates, however. According to the Geneva-based Small Arms Survey – the leading source of international public information about firearms – the U.S. has the best-armed civilian population in the world, with an estimated 270 million total guns. That’s an average of 89 firearms for every 100 residents — far ahead of Yemen, which comes in second with about 55 firearms for every 100 people, or Switzerland, which is third with 46 guns for every 100 people.
There are certain types of firearms that do require registration in the United States: those subject to the National Firearms Act, including machine guns, shotguns and rifles with barrels shorter than 18 inches, and silencers.
According to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, which handles that registration, there were more than 3.1 million National Firearms Act-registered weapons in the U.S. as of March 2012. That includes more than 488,000 machine guns and more than 2 million “destructive devices” such as grenades, which are also classified under the law.
YOU SHOULD ASK YOURSELF, IF THE PROLIFERATION OF GUNS IS THE #1 CAUSE OF GUN VIOLENCE (and not the naturally or unnaturally induced/created insane people using them)  - WHY ARE SO FEW GUN CRIMES BEING COMMITTED BY 3.1 MILLION GUN OWNERS THAT HAVE MACHINE-GUNS & HAND-GRENADES ETC? IF YOUR PREMISE IS TRUE - THE USA SHOULD BE EMBROILED IN A VIOLENT CIVIL WAR BY NOW - LIKE YEMEN IS - BECAUSE THE USA HAS MORE GUN OWNERS PER CAPITA THAN YEMEN. A few dozen psychopaths using a few dozen weapons is your 'proof' that 270 MILLION guns in the USA are 'evil'? You must support banning automobiles as well - since more people are killed by cars than guns - and there are LESS cars than there are guns in the USA.

It is true that ALL human beings of ALL 'races' had ancestors that once belonged to an indigenous tribe somewhere on this planet, it is also true that many an 'educated fool' considers the fact that they no longer know (or care to know) what Tribal Nation/s they originate from (because they belong to a 'Political Nation' now instead) be a mark of 'progress' in their 'intellectually intoxicated' minds...

They realize not that a 'Political Nation' is in most cases (unless that of a genetically homogenous society such as Mongolia) just an imaginary construct - and is about as de-facto worthless as the paper money Fiat currency that these 'Political Nations' live and die by.......generally speaking - you are 1,000 times more likely to be killed by a 'fellow citizen of your political nation state' - than you are to be killed by a 'fellow citizen' of your own Tribal Nation - because unlike your paper 'political nationality' that is available to anyone to access if they process certain paperwork correctly and pay a monetary fee....a Tribal Nationality is in your DNA, it cannot be genuinely purchased at any price no matter how much paperwork is processed (you are either a blood member by birth and ancestry or not); and every member of your Tribal Nation is in fact your relative by blood.

A Tribal Nation is a huge family, even though the lost souls who only have a 'Political Nationality' to hold on to - are still doing their hardest to destroy the innate harmony and unity of Tribal peoples (usually by inserting their well-packaged but spiritually pathetic 'organised religions' - which are only tools to divide and conquer us in ways they were unable to accomplish with weapons)....when we fight among OURSELVES in defence of these foreign POISONS - instead of against the common enemy coming into our tribes from OUTSIDE of our cultures, we help them to defeat our own selves!
When civil war anarchy erupts in your country - it is NOT people from your own Tribal Nation who will come to rape, rob and kill you and your family, it will be your 'fellow citizens' of your Political Nation that will do never forget that fact, and you will survive what is coming.

I remind my children every day to be PROUD that they know what tribe they belong to - and who their people are, the vast majority of mankind can no longer make such a pride-filled boast of self-identity.

I had a little conversation with my eldest son today about why it is important to respect your elders, so let me expand on it for the sake of others:

A lot of people do not understand what it means to 'respect your elders', they automatically think only in terms of human beings and then they say that they know more than one 'dirty old man' or 'spiteful old woman' - so they reject the notion of respecting anyone just because they are older......but they miss the point entirely, to assume this saying concerns human beings alone is a great error of human must be applied broadly - let me give you just 4 simple non-human examples...

1 - A young man with a gun will hunt and kill a 70 year-old Elephant just to cut off it's tusks to sell for money....he did not RESPECT his elder the Elephant, or think about that Elephant ALSO had a family of multiple generations who will all mourn over his dead body as we do, he instead acted with the utmost DISRESPECT by murdering his elder for his personal temporary financial gain...this was a great sin on his soul to do this thing.

2 - A man cuts down a tree that is older than him, the tree might be hundreds or even thousands of years old in some cases...just to get a few dollars from the wood....he did not RESPECT his elder the tree, instead he acted with the utmost DISRESPECT by killing an ancient living thing that provides homes for literally a million other life forms - and holds beneficial medicinal secrets within it's cells that we are only now beginning to reveal...just because it is a different life form to us - does not mean it has any less of a right to exist and continue to grow and live in peace than we do.

3 - A man hears the wisdom sayings of his humble and poor ancestors who lived truly upright, moral and spiritual lives - but decides to ignore them, because some smiling faced slick tongued deceiver (who hides in misdeeds in the shadows) on TV with lots of money, fancy clothes and a book he claims 'God' wrote - tells him something different which he 'wants' to hear.....he did not RESPECT his own human elders who have returned to spirit form, he instead acted with the utmost DISRESPECT by abandoning wisdom for foolishness.

4 - A man invests his life and money into drilling or fracking for oil - in order to enrich himself, he cares not about the rivers, lakes, ponds, streams, oceans, soil, or air he pollutes in his greedy and selfish quest of spiritual self-destruction.....he did not RESPECT his elder the Earth, instead he acted with the utmost DISRESPECT by helping to destroy her some more - after she made it possible for him to experience life in the first place.

The world is being destroyed because the majority of human beings forgot these kinds of spiritual truths that ALL our native ancestors once knew (and a few of us keep trying to educate others of), and we have become as parasites and viruses on the face of the Earth - consuming all else into oblivion...because we no longer have any RESPECT for our elders (whether, animal or plant or spirit), and we constantly behave in the most DISRESPECTFUL manner imaginable.

It is OK if you do not see the point I am trying to share with you as yet, because not everyone is ever going to be on the same level of conscious understanding, and not a single one of us is ever going to reach the end of the path to enlightenment - for it is an infinite one. There will always be others behind us on this path - and others ahead of us on this it is, and so it shall ever be.

Watch Elephants mourning their dead as we do here:

I think there is a big difference between a warrior and a person with a weapon they know how to use....the cowards who attacked that school in Pakistan were not warriors - but they did technically know how to use the weapons they used, they were able to kill 148 people after all...but a WARRIOR would never attack someone who has no chance of defending themselves, where would the honor or 'bragging rights' be in slaying defenseless others? At 6 feet tall if I beat up a midget who attacked me - I can't tell my sons about it and expect anything but embarrassment and shame from them, if I was the midget who beat up a 6 foot tall man who attacked ME - THAT I could brag about!
If you are a militant anti-government fighter - then attack Police Stations, Army bases, Police or Army patrols etc, 'armed enemies' that at least have a CHANCE to kill you as well (not politicians or other unarmed civil servants)....there is no honor in a one-sided victory (like dropping smart bombs - or remote controlling drones from the safety of 20,000 feet up in the sky or at a desk on the other side of the world) , but if I can attack armed enemies IN PERSON who outnumber me and outgun me - and STILL defeat them, then I have just earned the eternal respect of my peers - and my name lives on in history for ever.
We look at the Great Apache Chief Geronimo for the examples I speak of here, he literally would ask other Apache warriors to join him to attack the enemies of their people who were planning to attack the Apaches, on 2 occasions - because the forces approaching were more numerous and better armed - NO other Apache warrior volunteered to join him....Geronimo did not decide 'not to bother' because no-one was willing to take the risks he was...Geronimo went by himself and attacked them ALONE! He survived these attacks and few of the enemies he took on all by himself - escaped alive, very few human beings on Earth have the true fearlessness of this Great warrior, a man who if he had to - defended his entire tribe ALL BY HIMSELF! This is the attitude we need to promote, one person CAN make a difference, do not depend on others to do what needs to be done....have confidence in yourself - and YOU take the lead.

Geronimo was a TRUE warrior, and he was NEVER defeated by the USA Army, for many years in fact - 25% of the ENTIRE American Army at that time (approximately 5,000 soldiers) was hunting for Geronimo and his few dozen warriors to capture or defeat him....yet they never did....the Apache defensive war led by Geronimo against foreign invaders of Apache territory ONLY ended because Geronimo decided to stop fighting - because his last 22 Apache men with him were homesick to see their wives and children again after over 20 years of Guerilla warfare against the American AND Mexican Army (both armies had slaughtered Apache men, women & children and provoked the Apaches into justified defensive war in the first place).
In most Amerindian cultures a warrior earned the MOST respect and bragging rights by confronting an enemy that had a greater chance of winning the battle than himself...such as 'counting coup' - in which one would strike one's enemy (from another tribe) with a stick - letting your enemy live instead of killing him, because HE would be shamed and ridiculed by HIS fellow warriors for being humiliated publicly by was more honorable to show a tribal enemy that you could have killed him - but decided to spare his life instead....I wish other cultures thought the way these Amerindian cultures did - when it came to physical conflicts.
It is an old Lokono-Arawak tradition (that most young Arawaks do not know the history of today) to inform someone in advance - that if they do certain taboo things - you WILL kill them in the future, it is a polite form of advanced warning, no-one is offended by this, it is perfectly normal...let me give you a few examples, my younger sister-in-law Juanita told me and all her brother's-in-law years ago: "If you ever beat my sister - I will kill you and bury you in a shallow grave on our tribal lands"....why would that offend me? If any of my future son's-in-law beats my daughters I would kill them as well, it seems fair woman (or man) should be a doormat or punching bag for anyone else....and that is why I too will tell each of them: "If you ever abuse my daughter I will either kill you myself, or pay someone to kill you, or make my sons give me a deathbed vow to kill you for me after I die"......and if my own sons become wife-beaters, I already told them that I would have no choice but to kill them as well (their wife's parents have the same rights for their daughter to be treated with respect that I will enforce for their sisters)...certain things that were never done by my ancestors - will not be tolerated by me either, and hopefully my descendants will keep this standard upheld into the future.
In another example one of my brother-in-laws was on a Wabani (ambush) against some enemies, and a friend with him got scared - and a coward can cause the death of the brave through his acts of fear-driven my brother-in-law put a knife to his throat and told him: "Do NOT make me nervous - or I will kill you myself"....I see nothing wrong with that, suppose the idiot broke ranks and made a dash for perceived personal safety - and thereby exposed the positions of the rest of us? Then we all got killed due to his stupidity?
This is why many tribal peoples ASK for volunteers to go to the front of any combat action...'brave hearts to the front' is the usual translation....occasionally you get an idiot like this fellow who just want to 'be seen to be brave' - but are really chicken hearts...and it is very dangerous to have people like that at your side when you face combat situations....and this is why NO 'conscript' Army does well on the battlefield - unless by sheer numbers as cannon fodder depletes the enemies ammunition supply - thereby allowing for 'victory by attrition' (as Russia achieved in World War 2 - and China achieved in the Korean War)....but generally, one brave soldier can face 100 fearful enemy soldiers without losing any confidence of his eventual victory....and you can apply this saying here: "It is not the size of the dog in the fight - but the size of the fight in the dog!"
Another true saying comes from Ghengis Khan who said: " An army of donkeys led by a lion is better than an army of lions led by a donkey". You only need ONE great military genius to lead a rag-tag army to victory, but the most well-equipped troops on Earth - if led by a fool of a General - will ALWAYS be defeated.

                                                                My great grandmother

Makushi's weighing a Black Caiman at Yupukari in Guyana

                                          Two Emerald Tree Boas

Me at far left with eldest son Hatuey (2nd from left), second son Tecumseh Shawandase (middle), eldest daughter Sabantho Aderi (2nd from right) and youngest daughter Laliwa Hadali (at far right).

My wife Shirling in traditional attire

Me in traditional attire on the tribal lands in Guyana.

We are proof that you CAN live in the modern world and maintain your ancestral culture, we call it - having the best of both need to abandon one for the other... hold on to the past with your left hand (nearest to heart) while embracing the future with your right hand - as you live in the present connecting the two.

My parenting style is quite different, at times my kids might not realise it - if they compare me to their friends parents (who set them no chores - thereby teaching them nothing about responsibility to others and the surroundings in which they live - and the value of team work),  but I have a responsibility to raise my now urban indigenous children - to always be able to fit back into their tribe (and the tribe does not look favourably on weakness, strength of mind, body or spirit is expected of all), because every single one of the 1700 Lokono-Arawaks on Pakuri Territory in Guyana are their blood relatives if you track down the ancestors of each person there you will find blood ties through marital unions, just today my youngest Laliwa Hadali ('Yellow Butterfly of the Sun') asked me how the O'selmo Clan are her cousins? Because granny Charlotte  O'Selmo is your grandad Simon's mother's youngest sister - that is how....and as a matter of fact EVERY member of the tribe is related to you by blood going right down to the degree of ninth cousins (which is the furthest degree that exists there). My kids MUST understand, respect and appreciate the FACT that of the 2,000 blood relatives they have in this life IN THE ENTIRE WORLD, 1700 are on the reservation in Guyana, 100 are in Barbados, 100 are in the UK, about 66 are in Cuba, and about 20 in the USA & Canada, 10 in Venezuela, and 4 in Australia....they have a responsibility as members of the Lokono-Arawak tribe that are not incumbent on others who exist outside of the tribal context.

Though all in the diaspora who share the blood of Great grandmother Marian - also share with me the 400 years of hereditary leadership ancestry that produced her, only I made the 4 steps Great Great grandfather prescribed over 100 years ago for his future heir, and our last and eldest descendant faithkeeper Grandfather David gave his blessing only to me - because of what I had fulfilled....and my responsibilities will not die with me...but will continue through my children - and they must always be cognizant of is a very serious matter, they cannot simply decide they are 'not interested' ...the responsibility is in our DNA...where will you go - and how far will you run - to escape from yourself?

Outside of the tribe, non-native ideas and philosophies are rampant (I say 'corrosive'), not all off-reservation relatives know or have the desire to know - about our tribal roots and relatives to the degree or extent as I do, and whether they ever do or not - is irrelevant to the moral responsibility of MY children, an entire revived traditionalist movement within the tribe looks to me (and THEM) the same way I look to my ancestors who were Chiefs for 400 years before me...OUR responsibility is to the tribe as much as it is to our parents, our spouses, and our children.....we must always be willing to serve the needs of all of our people equally - albeit in different ways....and we must always be willing to DIE for all of them - if that is required of us - as our noble ancestors before us did....and our descendants after us must also do....anyone who has inherited such a responsibility only to abandon it for personal and selfish reasons - has brought an eternal shame and disgrace to the honor of the bloodline...and by this I refer to myself - as the 'task completer'..and my children - who must continue to promote & preserve what I have breathed life back into.

I love all my relatives in the diaspora, but I cannot remember any of them literally risking their life for me or literally saving my life...yet among the 1700 on the reservation - every  dangerous task I decide to undertake because I think it is necessary for the greater good of the people (whether it is confronting illegal loggers or narco-traffickers on reservation borderlands, etc.) - finds willing volunteers among them (some have saved my life), and I will never forget that sense of loyalty and self-sacrifice, so it is only natural that I - if I must choose a place to end my days in service and defence of others - it will be on the reservation, I will make room for any in the diaspora and those others who are family to me whether by blood, marriage or spirit only - to join me there if they so desire, and benefit from the security my social paradigm can afford them....but one thing they must all be willing to live by - is the code of honor that we willingly face every danger or crisis together...if you are unwilling to face danger head on with like-minded souls...stay and die in fear where you are right now.....for you will find no welcome from me.

My eldest son Hatuey ('Soldier Ants') did not know at the time, but when I took him to visit our Makushi allies years ago, an old man was killed in a vehicle accident 500 feet away from where we had tied our hammocks, we walked to the scene, and saw the 60 year old grandfather freshly dead in the grass, blood still coming out of his nose and ears, I told my eldest son to help me lift the dead body (my son's first hands-on experience with a corpse) and we put the grandfather in a vehicle to be taken from the son did not have nightmares, and I do not hide reality's sadness from my teenaged children, if I was somewhere and asked to help deliver a baby - I would ask my child to assist me and get a valuable life lesson in happiness as well.
On that same trip my eldest son went (without me) hunting a Black Caiman (largest and only proven 'man-eater' Crocodilian species in Amazonia - with some Makushi warriors, my son could have been killed - because he jumped into the knee high water and was pulling the Caiman out by the tail to the astonishment of the Makushis BEFORE they decided to shoot it with arrows. I only knew about it when they returned to the village and came to me laughing about it praising me for having such a brave son (he earned their respect for life that day)  .....before that his only experience that was kind of similar - was when he and his younger brother shaked an Emerald Tree Boa out of a tree into the river on our reservation - then dived into the river and grabbed it bare-handed to bring it out and proudly show me.

It is not easy to live between two worlds, as young people mature much faster on the reservation than they do in urban environments, I never saw a 13 year old girl on the reservation who still played with toys, or could not cook an entire meal on her own, fish on her own, or plant a farm on her own, or take care of younger siblings from infants to adolescents - all by herself, or wash a tub of clothes by hand, is still normal for girls on the reservation to be married by 16 and be mothers by 17....not saying I want my two daughters to marry so young, because the circumstances for my daughters are different - whether we live in a city or on the reservation the 'need' to marry in the absence of alternatives is not a factor for them, but I am saying that my daughters and sons are viewed one way off the reservation and another way ON the reservation, in Barbados my 2nd son Tecumseh Shawandase ('Panther's Eye that shines in the night - of the people of the South wind')  is just an 18 year old boy (who sometimes does childish things in urban life I must admit), but on the reservation he is viewed as an 18 year old young man (and I see him doing more manly things there...makes me wonder if urban life is not responsible for the lingering childish ways in urban youth) - and he could marry someone tomorrow if he wanted (I know several boys on the Rez who married at 16)....and I have a long list of parents who let me know they would like to have him marry their daughters already....and some of their daughters I consider great wife material for my son for every positive reason imaginable...but it is up to my son, if he wants to marry and live among his people I will support him, if he wants to wait and complete his studies before deciding - I will support him to do that long as he remembers how much easier reservation life is compared to urban life (no taxes, no Town & country planning to build a house (and you can build a big house for 5% of the cost of doing so in most urban settings, I could for example give my child a fully furnished 4 bedroom concrete walled house on the reservation as a wedding present - for the cost of a luxury Doll house in Barbados), no pressure there to be at a certain socio-economic level before you can even think about marriage - because in urban life you have to own certain things (house, car, land etc). to be considered worthy of someone's daughter's hand in marriage as life's demands are far more expensive in any urban setting, on the reservation land is free, water is free, food is free if you farm & fish, etc. and a little money (by comparison) takes you a long way his marital life will be much more stress free as well....not to mention adventurous, I know no urban person who leads a more exciting a freedom filled life than me.

When it comes to sickness for example, my children learn that in case of an emergency - your sickness is no excuse (unless you are deathly ill), someone is lurking outside our home trying to break in - you HAVE to join everyone else to help defend the family (whether that be taking your youngest sister - because my eldest daughter Sabantho Aderi ('Beautiful Little Dove') can defend herself - and my aging parents to the appointed place of defendable safety and placing yourself at the ready with your weapons in hand - between them and danger... or joining me with weapons in hand to repel the intruder as the first line of Defense), whether you have a cold, the flu, fever, etc.....more than once I have told them - "You HAVE to help, I know you can do it - and if you drop dead from helping - i'll accept responsibility for you". Sounds heartless, but I have just shown them the power of mind over matter...if you tell yourself you are too sick to help - you WILL be.....then if one day you are required to cast aside illness to save others - you will not use 'illness' as an excuse...for in emergencies the task at hand takes precedence over your current non-critical physical condition. The future will absolve me of anything I do that my children do not understand yet...but they are beginning to see the same future in their dreams that I have been seeing all my life - so they now see the benefit to how I am raising them, they do not fear the inevitable, rather - they are now telling me that they are glad to see what is coming, and they are mentally prepared for any scenario....which is the first prerequisite for survival.

The more my children master survival skills - the more other people's lives (and each other's) they will be able to help me save when the time comes.

Likewise...look at the organised religion of Christianity - which has been using lies since the Council of Nicea to pacify victims for centuries, they have most of our people totally convinced that jesus actually said 'Offer no resistance to injury' - a quote attributed to Jesus that does not exist in the oldest & ORIGINAL Aramaic pre-Nicea texts (yet no Church teaches us that two of his 12 Disciples were members of the Zealot order of Judaism that believed in armed liberation and they kept their swords under their cloak at all times with Jesus - and he was aware of it and never forbid them to possess weapons...just told them that HIS destiny - which is not OUR destiny - did not require their weapons...our Churches do not teach us that every disciple had a wife and children either, or that Jesus had several brothers and sisters all born from 10 years after him and 'blessed ever virgin' after Jesus was born as some denominations falsely teach, neither do they teach that Jesus studied with the Essene sect of Judaism - a sect which had WOMEN leaders for many years)...
Luke 22:35-39 And He said to them, "When I sent you without money bag, knapsack, and sandals, did you lack anything?" So they said, "Nothing." 36 Then He said to them, "But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one. 37 "For I say to you that this which is written must still be accomplished in Me: 'And He was numbered with the transgressors.' For the things concerning Me have an END (like being a defenceless willing sacrifice)." 38 So they said, "Lord, look, here are two swords." And He said to them, "It is enough." 39 Coming out, He went to the Mount of Olives, as He was accustomed, and His disciples also followed Him.
Not only are we to take care of our bodies and the life contained. We have an obligation to preserve the body and life of other people. Psalm 82:4 even cites an obligation to protect those who are in danger:
Psalm 82:4 Rescue the weak and needy; Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.
Does THIS sound like 'offer no resistance to injury' to you? Or does it sound more like "For no greater love hath a man than he risk his life for the sake of others" - which Jesus also said...and by this statement we see that all our Indigenous heroes who fought wars of defence to protect their people from extermination by attackers were not 'ungodly' - but were actually doing EXACTLY what we are all expected to do by the Creator to PROTECT the innocent all around them.

Just because Jesus came to fulfill HIS destiny to be a willing sacrifice - does not mean that WE are to adopt the same 'lamb to the slaughter' philosophy, that was his chosen destiny NOT mine. He taught us how to treat each other better - not to share in his painful and violent fate. I came to protect others spiritually and physically - whichever way the times and circumstances in which I live require of me to use, and as a warrior - I would rather be defeated and die trying to defend others - than to go against my own nature to fulfil MY destiny in this present physical life.

The people of Eastern Ukraine were 'peacefully' and 'lovingly' shopping in malls, going to the movies, going on dates, relaxing at the beach in Crimea etc. up to a year ago...but the times and circumstances in which they live NOW - require them to own weapons and know how to use them to protect themselves and their families from armed criminals....are you so stupid to condemn them for doing so because 'all violence is bad'? Who the hell are YOU to ride your cowardly pacifist-brainwashed moral high horse in the comfort of your safe living room and judge them? How many of YOUR relatives have been raped or murdered when chaos turned your world upside down? How many lives do you think you will save using pacifist tactics in a war ravaged society? Unless you are very rich (and chances are some poor thug with a cheap gun could kill you and take all your riches too) you will not save as many as Mr. Schindler did in Germany, so drop that fantasy real fast...realistically you will save as many as you can adequately DEFEND BY FORCE....have no self-defence skills - and you WILL join the pile or corpses really soon in such a situation...or exist by hiding in terror like a rat while those around you are butchered and killed.....yes that is real 'Christian' of you to not be able to protect or defend them....
Organised Christianity also teaches it's followers falsely that there is a commandment that says 'Do not kill' ...when in actual fact the direct translation of that commandment says 'DO NOT COMMIT MURDER' (a HUGE difference in meaning by changing one word, as you can kill in self-defence - but you cannot murder anyone in self defence).....
It is high time that truly intelligent men and women accept that YES- peace and love IS the best option (but is a luxury we may not always enjoy), but REALISTICALLY ' peace and love' are not always going to be the option that is best...are you going to 'offer no resistance to injury' when violent evil men break into your home, rape you, your wife and all your children, then torture you all to death in front of each other while you leaf through your Bible with bloody fingers and pray for a miracle to save you? Or are you going to be the PROTECTOR of your family - and use whatever weapons you can find and try to save your family from such evil!

It is time we realize that certain words and phrases were DELIBERATELY ALTERED by the beneficiaries of the grand and ancient organised religious program to cause our indoctrinated cowardice to PACIFY us mentally and physically - how else do you think 1% could rule over 99% for so many thousands of years? By making the 99% TERRIFIED to think, talk or ever do - anything that could end their domination over us! We are so stupid now - we will rather fight to PERPETUATE our pacifist deception rather than see the truth those no longer brainwashed by the system try to show us. ...this is why there have always been so few leaders - and so many followers - in the history of mankind on both sides of the issue. The word 'SHEEPLE" was invented for a very valid reason.
I teach my wife and children how to pray and defend themselves and others in spiritual warfare....and I teach them to use a variety of weapons to defend themselves and others in physical warfare, time will prove which philosophy proves wisest...your 'devout pacifism' or my 'practical realism'.

Telford Taylor - a military genius who was best qualified to be a General and head of the Armed Forces of an Amerindian Republic - were one to have ever come into existence.
Largest woodcarving in the recorded history of Guyana - made by Telford Taylor
                                                        Telford painting his Totem Pole
Prime Minister Samuel Hinds of the Republic of Guyana receiving the carving from the creator Telford Taylor himself.
A sign above made by Telford to remind people of the TRUE name of our territory.  Telford Taylor was calling our Territory by it's CORRECT ORIGINAL NAME of 'Pakuri' long before anyone else in living memory was, the name the Europeans gave it is 'St. Cuthbert's Mission', but we are neither Europeans nor are we any longer any damned Church 'Mission' so to hell with that name, our land is PAKURI LOKONO-ARAWAK TERRITORY, and our settlement is Pakuri Village! Emancipate yourself from mental slavery and learn what we traditionalists are trying to teach you about having REAL pride in your Lokono-Arawak identity!

Every Lokono-Arawak of Pakuri Territory knows the name of Telford Taylor, he has been a living legend for YEARS, but the world knows Telo (as we who love him call him) as a Great Wood Sculpting Artist, he made THE largest woodcarving ever done by an Amerindian in the recorded history of Guyana (the Totem Pole you see above), fewer are those of us who know him as a Great Warrior as well, for Telo was the ONLY Amerindian in the history of Guyana to receive military training (for one year) in North Korea in 1980 - 1981 under the late founder/leader Kim Il Sung - when Telo was in the Jaguar Battalion of the Guyana Army at the time.

Since I am the only one who benefitted from private military lessons from BOTH our great military minds - Ernest Courtney Simon (aka 'Rami') - who had the most combat experience of any Lokono-Arawak Warrior in recent memory from his 2 years fighting in the bloody Suriname Guerrilla War (which lasted from 1986-1992), and Telford Taylor - who had the most formal combat training of any Lokono-Arawak Warrior in recent memory...I feel it is my place to shed some light on this lesser known - but equally valid and important side of the man, the legend - we know as 'Telo' Taylor.
In our many talks I recall Telo laughing when he heard talk of '10 to 1 odds', because based on his military training in North Korea - 10 urban coastlander/foreign soldiers against him in a jungle warfare setting (where Telo was THE expert) was 'unfair odds to the 10' - because 'they would not survive 24 hours before he killed them all one by one"....and indeed the tactics he taught me (when put to experimental practice in tests among fellow Farareeno) proved his insight to be 100% accurate.
I recall once some years ago - when Telo's brother got a fish hook stuck in the skin of his belly, Telo pulled the skin with the imbedded hook and sliced the flesh off with a hunting knife (Telo always had a knife on him - just in case)...because it was easier to do - than to try to get a hook out of skin.
I recall too the one occasion when Telo 'almost' killed me with his hunting knife, it was an honest mistake, it was a Heritage Day celebration in the early 1990's, an urban coastlander (non-Amerindian) Guyanese Policeman was on our territory of Pakuri, and this Policeman felt to himself that because he had a uniform and a gun, that he could 'bully' the natives around him and get away with it.
The Policeman began to hurl insults about 'stupid Buck people'... not realizing several hard core warriors were near him, my brother-in-law among them - and he had heard enough - no outsider is going to come onto OUR land on OUR special day and push us around like sheep, so my brother in law smashed a coke bottle (made of glass in those days) on the Policeman's forehead, when the Policeman saw his blood flowing his eyes opened wide and he reached for his gun - another warrior (I forget who) kicked the gun out of the Policeman's hand - and the Policeman ran for his life (not so tough anymore without his gun obviously) - our Chief at that time was His Excellency Ernest Dundas, and Chief ran behind the Policeman and grabbed him from behind in a bear-hug to throw him down on the sand - this was to save the Policeman's life because he was running right towards the house of 6 hot tempered warriors who had the look in their eyes that a Cat about to snuff out the life of a fleeing mouse has.
The foolish Policeman tried to use a broken piece of glass bottle to stab our Chief instead of staying quiet and letting the Chief save his life...THAT was when war cries rang out through the village, Telford came rushing towards the scene of the commotion - ever ready to defend his people with his life, I was observing the drama unfold and thinking about retrieving my father-in-laws shotgun - fully-well expecting this night to end up in a shootout as Police Reinforcements could arrive in our village within an hour if not ambushed on the trail in.
The Sun was setting now as Telford leaped in 'full combat mode' from the side of the co-op shop to my left with hunting knife drawn and caught me off-guard - and with his blade inches from me I had to shout "TELO IT IS ME DAMON!" (he did not recognise me as I had my face covered with black war paint that evening and was in camo uniform) as I was looking at our Chief and the crowd of warriors descending on the Policeman with arrows drawn in their bows, some had spears, some had cutlasses etc, then suddenly the Chief shouted out at everyone to GET BACK NOW!.....all the men obeyed and stood down, the Policeman was probably pissing in his pants in fear, the Chief raised the Policeman up and took him into his house for safety, until his Police vehicle could pick him up and rush him out of our village - before someone decided to kill him anyway (and the history books have YOU convinced that we Arawaks are 'docile'...provoke us to wrath and see for truth and in fact the first European colonists in Guyana and Suriname where our tribe is the largest - lived in constant FEAR of Lokono-Arawaks -and the Kalina-Caribs, and paid our Chiefs (of both tribes) annual tributes NOT to slaughter them and burn down their colonial cities.

However, even more than being a great artist and warrior, Telford Taylor has always been a great Diplomat for the tribe, he has met with more foreign Ambassadors as a member of Tribal Council Governments over many decades - than anyone else alive, our greatest sports sponsorships breakthroughs were due in great measure to the tireless efforts of Telford Taylor, so I teach all the young people in the tribe that I get a chance to speak always remember what Telo has done for us over the years, and give this great HERO of our people ALL the love and respect he so justly deserves! I have made posters of 'General Telo of the Lokono-Arawak Tribal Nation' in his camo uniform with knife in hand, and provide them free of cost to any tribal member who requests one.
I am proud and honored to call YOU my brother, my teacher, and my wife & children's blood relative Telo! Your name will live on among the Lokono-Arawak people FOREVER!
